As a show, this was a rip off. Aretha only sang for about 50 minutes in total. She really can't do more than about 3 or 4 songs without needing a break. [She took a 15 minute break while the orchestra played and about one third of the audience left].

On the other hand she can still sing and is a living legend; so there may not be too many more opportunities to hear her. Her orchestra [18 piece and 4 backing singers] was first rate. We just needed more songs from Aretha. She did about 3 of her classics- Natural Woman, Chains and Respect. The remainder of her songs were sung memorably well but received polite applause.

So if you want to be entertained for a couple of hours forget this; but if you just want see Aretha once, consider going.
