A few years ago, many people had pinned their hopes on the Duke Spirit. They seemed voodoo, out of step with the Libertines culture, and tuned into the heart of what makes rock 'n roll dark and mysterious.

Eventually they didn't quite take the world by storm - but no matter, because now they're back to give it a second shot. Their new record is called Neptune, and with good reason: tonight singer Leila Moss looks like a Greek God with her blond hair flowing round her face.

The new songs are leaner and more melodic. 'The Step and the Walk' in particular sounds like a Pagan pop song, with Moss strutting up and down the stage like a female Jim Morrison while huge light bulbs flash around her.

Will they take over the world this time? Probably not, but if you're in the know this group are still a dark and delicious treat.
