It was 23 years ago that this Australian tribute band formed and over the years they have gradually built up their reputation as being one of the best tribute bands in the world. From seeing their latest performance, it's easy to know why they have this great reputation.

Their 2012 tour, Exposed in the Light, which drew a near-capacity audience to Southampton, is acknowledged as their biggest and best. They of course incorporated the psychedelic light show - which models the light show used by Pink Floyd during their 1987 and 1994 world tours. Watching the round screen with movies and animations also brought back the memories of seeing Pink Floyd. There was also the large inflatable pink kangaroo - modelling the pig used by Pink Floyd during the Division Bell Tour.

With all this, it's easy to believe that when you closed your eyes you feel you are listening to the real thing. In fact it's so good, the Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason once said: “They probably do Floyd better than us.”

The tribute band kept rocking out the classics, such as: Keep Talking, Another Brick in the Wall, Us and Them, Great Gig in the Sky and Wish You Were Here - all of which were performed well. And yes, they also played Take it Back and High Hopes - all of which are usually rare outings.

Although most of the audience were at least double my age, there were in fact other young people there too. You could see the older generation really getting into it - and who could blame them? The Australian Pink Floyd Show really did make you want to get out of your chair and dance (as some people did!).

Now the group does have one problem to face – how do you improve on such an amazing performance? It's a nice problem to have…
