A proper rock band show! The Arctic Monkeys are the genuine article. Great sound, young, energetic and rock star attitude.
This band can really play; loud but musical. They also have some good songs under their belts already. The show was helped on this occasion by the Monkeys playing in the atmospheric and sweaty Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale. It was jammed, but the crowd was excited and super enthusiastic. The Monkeys' latest songs are not quite up to the standard of their first album which is a classic, but I liked Don't Sit Down [cause I moved your Chair]. The Monkeys don't just play loud music, they play interesting original music and the lead singer Alex Turner has a very distinct unique voice.
The crowd loved them,and the Monkeys went out leaving them wanting more with a great version of their anthemic ' Scummy'. Catch them!
