John Legend and Estelle

It was a rare cool night in Miami but it quickly started warming up inside the Fillmore Theater with Estelle, the opening act of the John Legend, Evolver Tour. She was sassy, jazzy and fun. It seems she really likes being across the pond and dedicated her hit 'American Boy' to President Obama. She definately expressed herself more eloquently in song than in between them where her potty mouth went wild. Hopefully, she'll have it under control if awarded the Best New Artist in the Grammys this year.
The weather outside was in no way an indicator of John Legends show. He entered the theather from the side entrance and greeted fans on the way up to the stage and when the 'Holla Holla Holla' of his song Used to Love You soared, I knew I was in for a steamy, special, soulful night.
His voice sounded amazing, his band rocked especially the drums and keyboards and he took us fans on his journey of songs from Heaven, Save Room, the very romantic Slow Dance to the groove shaking Green Light. He invited us to help his charity and ended the show with the befitting If You're Out There. I loved the small setting and sound of the Fillmore Theater and it was great to see that John Legend is a true R&B star .
