Jesus Knives aren't usually the kind of band that I'd go and see. But they were still pretty good. They have a very original style and they clearly like playing together. But I prefer singing to shouting. That's just my choice, but shouting in a club that's relatively empty can grate slightly.
That said, they do have a great bassist. Who played so hard his string broke. That's the kind of rock music I like to hear! I'm all for loud, I'm all for distortion. I just like it when I have a little melody I can tap along to.
I would go and see Jesus Knives again, I know they've got talent and they've been working on some new stuff. It's good to see something new and out of the ordinary. These guys are talented enough to pull it off.
