I don't get this band. I'm just not blown away by them. Their whole demeanour annoys me and I just spent the whole gig wondering what I was missing. Everyone else seemed to get it. The venue was full to the brim and I'd never seen that before. Everyone was stood watching in awe and I just felt a bit like shrugging my shoulders.

New Pornographers are a band of many faces. Not all at once, sometimes hardly any at all. The most famed band members don't play with them on stage very often now - too busy with solo projects. This means that the stuff you'll hear on the cds and the stuff you get excited about isn't going to be what you see onstage. If it is then you're very lucky.

Musically, the guys are great though. They gel well together and they've got an orginal sound and some very talented members,

I just don't get it.
