Gordon Lightfoot is a very talented performer, but his voice has deterioriated to the point that I would advise only fans who want to see him perform to pay for tickets to see him.  This show in Albuqerque come on the heels of 8 shows in 11 days, way too much for him to handle.  Although the show was good, listening to his music on CD after the show confirmed how weak his voice was.

As I talked with other concertgoers, there was a feeling of wishing him well, but as the show went on, it seemed more likely he would suffer humiliation and have to stop singing, than that his rich, deep voice would return.

Very sad.  I wouldn't expect much for tonights show in Amarillo, nor for his concerts 5 months from now next year.  But if you are looking for a nostalgia show and don't mind that he doesn't sound like he used to, he and his four member band put on a solid show.
