Frankie still has a very distinctive voice and can engage an audience. The show was slow in taking off and the early parts were a little lounge act like. Franki had a nine piece band and 4 male backing singers [4 Seasons]. Frankie was not very inspired on Cole Porter classics and covers of classic 60's pop songs and the audience was quiet and polite. However, he was far better on his own and 4 Seasons songs where he was more emotionally connected [as they say on American Idol]. At this point Frankie started to engage the audience and by the end most were on their feet singing along in response to his increased enthuisiasm. All in all, a pleasant way to pass an evening and the songs are classics which Frankie Valli still sings well.
