Enter Shikari did not fail to entertain yet again! It was their fourth gig for me, as I have previously seen them twice at Milton Keynes Super Bowl and last year in my home town at Birmingham o2 Academy.
They played all their new tracks of course as many bands do, but every song was great in my eyes. I rocked out to every one of them especially 'Meltdown', 'Gandhi Mate' and 'Sssnakepit' loosing my boyfriend in the pit of death. But Shikari being Shikari did not forget their true fans as they went on to perform one of their famous tracks, 'Sorry your Not a Winner' one which always hypes up the crowd. And as I always do, I thrashed into people whirling around to the music avoiding the odd punch in the mosh pit going wild, pushing and shoving other participants around me. Shikari have become more electronic too with the slight dub step influence over time. However, the atmosphere was still as powerful as ever.
I give the gig top marks, they are a band which have hit their peak but still maintain good vocals and music. I would describe this band as a slithering snake that is full of vibrant colour's has a rough sound and electronic look and that will gobble you up in whole, slowly digesting you as you listen to the raspy texture of the vocalists voice. Therefore, although the thought of this sounds scary, if you have never seen this band before, you should not miss out, they have made history and to me they have become a band that is unique within all genres of music.
