Screening a physics documentary isn't the most obvious way to galvanise a crowd into action, but then Eels (fronted by the mysterious 'E') have never done things traditionally.
Those feeling nervous shouldn't worry though. After this bizarre introduction, he walks on stage dressed as a petrol station attendant, and proceeds to bowl us over with a catalogue of his greatest hits.
And what hits they are - from 'Novocaine For The Soul' to 'Fly-Swatter', the band are adept at illustrating what's been a fantastic decade in alternative music. Let's hope he gets weirder and weirder.
