The collaboration between Welsh indie-pop star Gruff Rhys and the US hip hop producer Boom Bip was always going to attract some interest, but tonight it looks like the duo have got London eating out of the palms of their hands.

Dressed in a cream suit, the Super Furry Animals singer looks suitably 80s as he joins Cate Le Bon on their mini-classic single 'I Lust You'. The club environment suits their brand of electro-hip-pop well, and the audience respond in kind, shaking their bums along to the Brat Pack vibes of 'Told Her on Alderaan'.

Quite how serious the duo are about their future is debatable - Rhys surely has a full time career with SFA. But considering that 80s retro is fast becoming the fashion de vogue, Neon Neon's timing is impeccable.
