I can only describe this band as a poor man's Aerosmith. They try.
Sometimes it works. But they strut about the place with such a huge amount of self importance that you actually feel a little bit sick. I found myself laughing at them almost as much as I was enjoying it. They think they're a lot better than they really are.
If that was the case, they wouldn't be playing in New Cross. Or they'd at least be playing in the Amersham Arms which is a decent venue. The New Cross Inn is not.
That said, they were more entertaining than I thought they would be, and they did an amusing rendition of Sweet Transvestite. How original of them.
