After a decade in the wilderness of country, bluegrass and experimental ramblings, the old man Black is back.

Promoting his second collection of rock songs in as many years, tonight the Pixies main man is on form, and he knows it. The new tunes have the peripheral taste of evil to them that endured so many to his former band in the late eighties, particuarly the bittersweet 'When they Come To Murder Me'.

The audience may be heckling and calling him a "fat b*stard", but everyone knows that they're witnessing the Pixies reunion album that never was - and nobody goes home short changed...
