Sheryl Crow is a little difficult to categorize- a country singer but far from the best, who has a wide audience largely based on her stellar hit All I want to Do [ itself based on a poem].

Sheryl played a largely country rock show at the Hard Rock. I thought she and her 5 piece band started lethargically although the first song was All I Want to Do, but Sheryl eventually broke through to the crowd and had them on their feet with 'What Makes You Happy'. The show picked up intensity and atmosphere justiyfing 3 stars overall.

The shortish show was compensated by a [too] long encore where her version of "You're No Good' was the standout of the night. It's strange how many artists get more enthusiasm on other people's songs and yet minimize the 'covers' they play!

I would only see her if I knew I was a fan.
