I have seen 100's of concerts in my time from bars to stadiums, and up till last night, Brian Wilson's first night showcasing "Pet Sounds" at RFH was the best I had seen, but Robert Plant/Alison Krauss show last night was a killer from start to finish, the band that T-Bone Burnett has put together was a one off "superb", as for Plant I suggest that Mick, Rod, Paul etc. visit his vocal coach, as his voice has never sounded better, and to team it up with Ms.Krauss was a stroke of genius. Many of the audience were there just to see Led Zeps. front man but they were quickly converted, by the total show. A nice touch was the dedication to Sandy Denny, Alison threw in "Matty Groves", then a barnstorming version of the Denny/Led.Zep. collaboration of "The Battle of Evermore", finishing up with "When The lLvee Breaks". No more can be added to describe the sheer joy of the audience, to finally have a concert that exceeded all expectations, make a trip over to US this summer to catch them, or you will live to regret. a true marriage of Country meets Folk meets Rock, a perfect combination.
