Lynryd Skynrd played a loud and rocking show to the most enthusiastic crowd I've seen at the hard Rock for a long time. Their loyal fans turned out in force and clearly love their southern rock sound and southern roots. [The band did point out there were 2 Yankees in the band].

Johnny Van Zant still sings well and has great audience rapport. The band was loud and rocking ; just about right for their style and they played a tight and enthusiastic show. The audience was on their feet the whole time; a credit to both the band and the audience. Music is so much more enjoyable when you can move around.

I particularly liked their version of I Got the Same Old Blues and the of course Sweet Home Alabama. The encore was Freebird climaxed by about a 5 minute crescendo of great guitar work.

A slightly short show at 1 1/2 hours but highly enjoyable.
