The Heart Concert in Albuquerque NM @ Sandia Casino on July 7, 2009, was the worst concert I have ever seen to in my life!
The sound was completely off, the base side of the sound board was completely off! It resonated so loud you couldn't hear the vocals or anything else. Sounded like they never did a sound check and the people running the sound were just experimenting for the first time. Sometimes when Ann was singing it wasn't audible at all, I have NEVER heard such bad sound at a professional concert and certainly not for $70 a ticket.
I did approach the sound board tent, where I was told by the gentleman with the very long pony tail that "we are bringing it back up".... Well, it never came back up because the show was over before they were "apparently able to figure it out.
Next question... what happened to any kind of stage show? no lights, no show, no costumes, nothing! Aside from nancy looking like she was going to the grocery store and Ann looking like she just came from an art walk or wine tasting at best, the rest of the band was dressed to do yard work.
Is it that Albuquerquians are sooooo dumb that anybody can sell us anything or what?
Why was there no apologize in the least, an offer to get your money back, or any acknowledgement at all that "hey folks we screwed up! The sound isn't working, the closest we came to that was maybe when Ann said " we're still here". Yeah, Ann, you are still here, now what
