Bob Dylan

After listening for an hour (!) to a warm up band & waiting 20 minutes fpr the set to be completely redone after the warm up - we (finally) got to see Bob Dylan perform.
His voice us unintlligeable. Please don't give me that crap about "not so bad for a 68 yr old man who smokes". I've listended to plenty of ageing rock musicians with pleasure - and Dylan sounded like random grating & croaking noise.
The sound was massively overbearing - to the point of being physically painful. Perhaps they were trying to drown his inability to sing.
To top it all off, Dylan did not perform a single song we recognized. All the songs he performed sounded the same - like noise. It was embarassing to watch, and painful to listen to. Many of the packed audience started leaving after the first two songs. Eventually, so did we.
Calling the evening a disappointment does not do it justice. I would give it a negative rating if I could. I can't remember when I was so disappointed with a performance. If you like Dylan's old music, do yourself a favor and listen to an old record.
