I've been to plenty of concerts, big small and in between.  This one topped them all.  Stage show was incredible.  It opened with a cartoon shown on several large screens featuring the boys on a train with a fiendish looking Angus shoveling coal into a furnace.  Some lascivious babes show up.  Eventually the train crashes, which is accompanied by fireworks and clouds of smoke.  The band comes on stage at that point.  Eventually the smoke clears and a large, smoking locomotive, featuring 2 devil horns on the snout looms over the stage.  By this time, the band has launched into their set.  A 60 yard long runway extends from the stage to the sound booth, which is completely enclosed.  Angus & Brian use the runway throughout the show.  Towards the end of the show, Angus launches into an extended solo, goes down the runway and disappears into the sound booth only to appear on the roof on a small round stage.  Eventually the stage rises into the air, accompanied by smoke and confetti.  There he thrashes about like a madman.  The years have not been kind to Angus's hair, but it only accentuates his frenetic guitar work, as he dashes about, sweating like a fiend and looking like a cross between the Crypt Keeper and Riff Raff from the Rocky Horror Picture show.  During Whole Lotta Rosie, a monstrous balloon in the shape of a comically endowed female straddles the smoking locomotive, moving in time to the music.  Show featured songs from Black Ice, interspersed with all the classics.  Camera work on big screen was very, very professional - had to have been choreographed and shot by a 3rd party that specializes in stage shows.  It was really like watching a DVD.  Angus in fine form, Brian delivering solid performance.  One downside was that Brian's vocals were often drowned out by the music, but who cares - everyone knows the words anyway.  Well worth the money for the spectacle alone.

Frontman talks way too much with storytelling.  Some might like that.  Didn't play Mr. Jones or a more
